Courtship
Courtship is one of the more important relationships between individuals of a species. The main purpose of courtship is to check out the compatibility of the 2 individuals....
Firstly and foremost are the both of the same species?
Secondly - are they both sexually mature/ sexually ready?
If the courtship process is "correct" the 2 will mate and it is expected that mating and conception will happen - (babies will be made)!
Mating and pregnancy are both hugely dangerous and risky for the individuals. There is a high energy demand. So courtship ensures/ optimizes the possibility of offspring production
